How to Install

Installing a Plugin from GPL Pro – Two Ways

Way 1: Through the WordPress admin (works for most hosting)

  1. Download the plugin’s .ZIP file from its page on our site.
  2. In your WordPress dashboard, open Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin at the top of the screen.
  4. Choose the .ZIP file and click Install Now.
  5. Activate the plugin when the install completes.

Way 2: Via FTP/SFTP (when the admin upload fails)

Some hosts block plugin uploads through the dashboard – file size limits or permission settings. In that case:

  1. Unpack the .ZIP on your computer.
  2. Connect via FTP/SFTP using your hosting credentials.
  3. Upload the extracted plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  4. Activate the plugin in your dashboard under Plugins.

Rolling Back to a Previous Version

Every plugin page here lists the latest release plus the two before it. If an update conflicts with your theme or another plugin, download the previous version and reinstall it the same way – WordPress replaces the existing copy. Check the changelog first: release notes usually explain what changed.

About License Keys

If a plugin prompts for an activation or purchase code after installation, skip it – the plugin runs with its full feature set either way. Where possible, products ship with valid keys already applied – purchased legitimately, provided for your use. Activation prompts gate the developer’s update and support services, not the plugin’s functionality.

When a New Version Ships

We refresh download links as developers release updates – each plugin page shows the current version with its changelog. Updating means downloading the new .ZIP and installing it over the old one; WordPress handles the replacement, and your settings stay in place. Glance at the changelog before updating so you know what’s changing.
